Facebook the Superficial? Yay or Nay?

I recently reactivated my Facebook after a few years then had to deactivate it after a few hours. As me being in my early 30's I realize that it is all superficial! Like all of the people that I have on my Facebook are folks I went to high school with and met along the way. Thinking about it now made me wonder why the hell do I even have them on there if we have little to nothing in common except going to the same school lol! Yes people comment on some of my post and liked my images but none of them were interested in hanging out based on similar interest. The only good thing about my Facebook is the groups I have joined based on similar interest. Family and sharing your company/business for advertising which requires you to add a bunch of friends is one thing but if you notoriously accept Facebook requests or share out your Facebook to people on a superficial level without truly connecting while they are another number then what is the purpose?

Deactivated mine a long time ago. Like you said, people from high school who never spoke one word to me at the time trying to add me as a friend now? Just to make themselves look popular. Or to see if they're doing better than me. No thanks lol
