Eh, kinda sensible when you consider the fact that they only want to do it specifically at student union events, have provided a suitable alternative (jazz hands), and are motivated specifically by the effect clapping can have on students with disabilities. They're just tryin' to make student life less shitty for people with autism and stuff.

@Nanori More like, a few people have it bad so let's make it alright for them. Doing jazz hands instead of clapping is hardly a mortal sacrifice; in fact, I would consider it kinda fun.
