I Had Knee Surgery

I've been having some knee pain in both of my knees lately, especially the left from compensation while my right knee was healing.

oh boy.

Well I went to the doctor today and I have two problems. Bursa. Minor arthritis. And bad traction in my knees. But my meniscus is doing great. Yay - happy dance.

I had a shot in each leg for my bursa. It stung, then it burned. There was lots of deep breathing and " OH GOD" but nothing too too bad.

I HATE needles lol so after all that anxiety I felt a little tired.

And for the rest, I told him that I wanted to wait and try natural methods.

And ........ I can still walk and stuff. And I may have IT band issues going on. Still researching on what to do for that. But now I can get back to exercise. yeah

I'm glad I went to the doctor and had it checked out.

Soon as u can, space out your opioids. They'll help waaaay more when not every day ☺

it was a shot in the fatty part of my leg. not something like that.

Meant the stuff for after. Oxycodone or hydrocodone or whatever he gives you. After the first few real bad days, space them out, you'll get more out of them, and actually enjoy them a little more so w out the negatives.

Also, golden rule is NO MORE Than 4000 mg of acetominophen (APAP) per day. It can be hard when you're in pain but if each pill has 325 or 500 aceto, keep it below 4000 if you like your liver. Beter yet, make them give you the same with NO apap. Example, they DO make 10mg oxycodone (stuff in percocet) w no aceto, bc some peoples stomachs cant take all that tylenol.

he never gave me that. I'm just supposed to take anti-inflammatories for a while.

For knee surgery?? You are a brave ad patient woman! lol If that was me id have a lawyer in w me making him gimme at least a big bottle of 10s lol Those NSAIDs can mess your kidneys up bad too, be careful.

its been 5 months since my last surgery. I had a shot in my knees for bursitis.

Ohhhh, still! I would make sure you had a few percs and lots of down time, and massages every day, if i were a certin undeserving fellow! hehe :)

yeah hubby wasn't terribly helpful with my surgery

he wouldn't help me and then he'd scold me when I was up getting ice for my ice machine

OMG, even as just friends, if i saw a freind's "soul mate" be like that,...she'd be pissed at me a short bit and he wold become VERY helpful rapidly. Glass of wine and a painkiller or two, and then a lonnnng footrub, whether she's sub or dom, its just affection.

well his feelings was that because he had osteoarthritis that I was going through the pain he feels everyday

well apparently I found out that the pain of meniscus and ligament surgery is a bit more painful than mild osteoarthritis

plus he knowingly does stuff that makes his knees hurt worse - like soccer

Tylenol is really bad for your liver too and should only be taken occasionally or for short periods. When I worked in an ER we used to see alot of accidental Tylenol overdoses from either taking too much Percocet or combining it with a sleep medication with Tylenol in it. Most people do not know how dangerous it is you can need a liver transplant if you go above a certain blood level. It shouldnt be on the market.

Aleve and nsaid meds cause kidney fail with continued use. Blocks prostaglandin. Sounds weird but pure oxycodone w no aceto is safer. Just be sparing w them when u have them
