I Had Knee Surgery

Here I am again. A week ago I was dancing and then my knee just hurt sooooo bad. omg. Just like my left knee. So . . . . . today I went to the Orthopedic Dr and had an x-ray.

Apparently my left knee was not a torn ligament, but a torn meniscus. And it looks like on my right knee I have the beginning of arthritis and a torn meniscus. I have an mri scheduled after the New Year's.

I am looking forward to getting it done. I want to heal and get fit and lose weight. I want to feel good, and not limited and immobile.

I love to move and not to hurt all the time. Some days are ok and some aren't.

Currently waiting for my husband to bring me my pain medication.

UPDATE*******

Well I had to be put on new medication for pain because the other stuff made me really nauseous.

And ....... I'm having knee surgery on my right knee this time. They are cleaning it out - loose piece of meniscus and an mcl tear in the back of my leg.

I'm a lot more anxious this time around and I'll be having a lot less help. I hope I can do it. and I plan on resting more, taking it easy so that I don't injure myself or other parts start to overly compensate and such.

anyways - sooo anxious over here

It's pretty tough with one knee out, let alone too. Don't forget to call on your friends, and your husband - they may not always be sensitive, and it may take a clue-by-four to get the message through, but that's what they're there for.

When I broke my knee, some friends helped, and so did some acquaintances. Hiring a third hand temporarily would not have been out of the question, but we had a teenager for that.

Good luck!
