I heard someone say once it's because we are born in water. I do feel most at peace by the water. The ocean especially, but I spent some time by the river yesterday, and it was a most perfect day. Moving water is a living thing. As the blood in our veins.

I never thought about it that way. That's pretty powerful.

The ocean is 20 minutes away from me, but doesn't seem close enough at times. I love my ocean.

I try to go regularly. Once a week, at least. I always have meetings on Wednesdays, so I try to make that my day. The sea air helps so much.

@FyreOpal: everything about the water just make me calm and peaceful.

The rhythm of the sea, natures heartbeat, is as necessary to me as my own breath.
It's 5am and I can hear the wind rush as the waves dance against the rocks below.
And its good to be alive!!

Oh Yes it is...That must be awesome! I've lived near the water half of my life but I traveled over an hour most of the time to be near it. Lakes were prevalent near me and the Delaware River was close but there's nothing like the ocean and the gulf waters. That's half of heaven for me. :)

No I mean it's really for my emotional survival.
