I have discovered a beautiful oasis in the North Atlantic Ocean, Faroe Islands. They are part of the Kingdom of Denmark but are self-governing. It comprises 18 rocky, volcanic islands between Iceland and Norway. It is a cool climate year around...no hot humid summers!! Lol. It is on my bucket list as a travel destination. There is an abundance of sea birds that nest on the islands and scenic hiking trails with breathtaking views. Almost 20 hours of daylight in Summer. In winter the daylight hours are much shorter. The best time to visit would be July to early September when the temperatures are moderate and the islands are covered in a lush green carpet of grass. An abundance of feed for the many sheep that live on the island....80,000 sheep and 51,000 people. I would love to experience their nordic way of life!!馃槉
