That was a surprise

I befriended a man on Facebook last fall and even ended up meeting him for coffee a few months ago. He used to say good morning via messenger quite a bit. I messaged him around Christmas and never got a response. I just checked in on his FB page to find out he passed away right after Christmas. Very sad.

Nice gentleman, we talked about books, art and politics. I'm glad I had the chance to meet him.
