I Have Celiac Disease

I was finally diagnosed about a year and a half ago. So many years of suffering. Since I have been on the prescribed diet, life has been so much better. No more migraines, no more passing out in pain. No more violently ill spells.

My issue now is that many around me don't understand how important my diet is to my health. They think I can cheat a little. I can't. Not even a little. I am teased and ridiculed by family and friends. I have been accused of be a hypochondriac and a fanatic.

My ex was diagnosed with this very disease; and it was a challenge for both of us, to watch what she ate. She was a diabetic on top of it; so she had other challenges, just like someone else said.
I am happy for you, now that you have been diagnosed, and know what to eat. It is a shame that your husband and or children will not go to a meeting to gain a better understanding.
