Question for the mechanics

So my car runs fine while I'm driving it. I noticed when I rolled my windows down if i have the car in park or pushing on the brakes there is a rattling and soft but noticable sputters. Its only when my car is idling! What could that be?

It's the plastics inside your interior. Could be a dashboard or anywhere.

I get absolutely irritated by them. The simplest solution for them is to isolate the area and figure out where it's coming from. Then use a double tape to cover the gap and absorb the vibration.

@Beatbox34 I mean there is a little bit of vibration but it's mostly some sputtering. I don't think plastic would make my car sputter. Vibrate yes 🙃

@Justmeherek I didn't read the sputter part.

Are you able to rev the engine freely? Could be damaged injectors that may cause misfires in the cylinders.

Get the car checked for error codes.

@Beatbox34 yup I rev the engine and everything sounds and feels good. I've been to the dealership twice in the last 3 weeks so if it was something major I would have hope they caught it but a few days after I got it back I started to feel the sputtering/ very small jerks while at stoplights.

@Justmeherek I want to say it could be the clutch but I have never driven an auto.
