I Want To Rant

Okay... so this has easily become my number one pet peev. Simply being in high school has made me absolutely hate this; when people use the experience of someone who has had it tougher than you to invalidate your suffering.

I realize that there are plenty of people who have it worse than me, but that doesn't mean what i or anyone else goes through isn't terrible, and it isn't that bad to them.

The thing that makes me angriest is when people do this about themselves to try to make you pity them. You may have grown up in a less fortunate situation than me, but I'm not going to pity you because you're not the center of the universe and people other than you have problems. This is a common problem for me at high school and it's partly because I actually care about other people, but I know it's something that a lot of people deal with.
