I Am The Ugly Friend

There is something really freeing in knowing you are the ugly friend, and when I say this to people they often try to defend my "honor" and say things like "Noooo dont say that" and honestly, all I hear is empty words and lies. Like it's okay I know I am not the most attractive person especially compared to my friends and like I said it's almost liberating in a sense not having to wonder if people will like me because I know they won't. And maybe that's my insecurity or maybe it is just me facing reality but it is one of the best ways to cope with myself.
