I Hate Hypocrisy

A black officer shoots a black criminal in Milwaukee, blacks riot and burn black neighbourhoods, and whites should feel it is their fault? 馃馃
TheProphetM
No it isn't our fault.

A lawlessness instance unrelated to race, just a general upsurge of discontent perhaps. God, gotta watch the news more often before i start looking like a real bona fide idiot here;)
CierzoM
You risk a depression if you follow the news closely.

Maybe Cioran will help me be immune, not so sure these days though, getting humbled is more frequent no matter what kind of thing is embraced.
Huh? Who thinks that?
CierzoM
Not me, some SJW.
There are also both blacks and whites who couldn't care less. But that wouldn't fit in with your narrative---of course.
CierzoM
Bijoux, I have read about it, it is true that those SJW that blames whites for everything are more silent than usually, but yet there are some of them with the usual rethoric.
You said it, there are many who could care less, those seem to care more when the policeman and the killed person are from different races. Where is Black Lives Matter now? This black live does not matter?
1) Not all blacks are part of BLM. That should probably go without saying but of course it doesn't. We all think the same way, don't we ? Incidentally understanding the genesis of a movement also doesn't mean agreeing with every single person in that movement or action taken in the movement's name. But again, too abstract a concept when one thinks in black and white.
2) Some people are concerned with the actions of police against people of color in general and the culture that has police tweeting things about "policing apes" or "working in the jungle" which cause them to feel less than safe with law enforcement officers---of any color. My brother (who, I might've mentioned, is a police officer) has to deal with people who ignorantly believe blacks in law enforcement are "traitors" because of that existing culture.
3) Since I'm not among the people protesting, I can't say for certain what they are expressing at this point, beside irrational anger and frustration. I can only assume and perhaps judge---as you are doing, from the safety of home. Would that be a fair assessment ?
CierzoM
I agree with everything you say in your reply, Bijoux.
What I don't get is the attitude of certain people who look for a racial background behind every conflict. Here I see people showing their frustration. I may be wrong of course.
I also blame the media who love to stir the nest's hornet and pay much more attention when a white policeman kills a black person than when it has to do with any other racial combination. Media are to be blamed for turning an armed/not armed conflict into a racial one.
