I Think The Rebel Flag Is Just A Flag

I honestly don't like the rebel flag! Just my opinion!

@Poptartinvasion- Personally to honor family, who died-- even if some of their views were wrong and not ones that I personally share.

And to show Southern heritage though not always correct or something to be proud of is a part of who I am.

Others will say they fly it for similar reasons but the main being for Southern heritage, or because it represents being a rebel or "outlaw" to them or because it is cool because when they were growing up they saw it on the "Dukes of Hazards" For many it is just as harmless.

I believe there is some who fly it that believe it to be a symbol of racism, but with or without the flag that a lot of us hold dear those SOB's are going to be racist. They don't need a flag to make them that way.
@Domi, That video reminds me of my father in law. The way he keeps his hair. Even the look on his face. It's exact.
It is a flag, but it has a lot of history behind it and I think a lot of people who carry it around know nothing of the history what so ever. I'm indifferent towards it though.
Hami1091 educate me on the various reasons you fly it? I'm generally curious.

Is it the flag itself or what it stands for that you dislike most?

I personally love it, and NO we do not fly it to represent racism. We fly it for various reasons, but a lot of people especially the race baiting media wants to make it come across that way .

Bijoux we in the UK fly the cross of St George the English flag and we get classed as racist because we are proud of England
If you mean the Confederate Battle flag, it's the U.S. equivalent of the swastika and represents racism and segregation and a past that justified slavery. That's why white supremacist groups (including those supporting Donald Trump) fly it now.
