Not for a livin, but to keep it rollin. Just wish I would've tightened the new alternator enough for the belt to turn the damn thing before cussing it out 😎

I once looked on as a breakdown van man attended a breakdown of a car with a flat battery. The man didn't believe me when I said the belt was loose because when he started the car up with jump leads, 'the light on the dash went out'. The belt was tight enough to get the light to go out but to produce a charge? No way. I hope the owner believed me though and went and tightened the belt later on! It was one of those Morris Minors that you still occasionally see here (UK)
