Asking questions instead of voicing opinions

I've often wondered if it would be possible to never voice your opinion on something you know people will disagree with and never debate something with someone but instead just ask people questions that will make them aware of their hypocrisy and stupidity.

That was a long sentence. Let me rephrase.
Instead of disagreeing with someone, just ask them questions that will make them think differently.

@Mindful I think the hardest part may be evading their questions to us.

@Mindful Well if you ask someone a question they are likely to ask you back the same question and if answering it reveils how I disagree, then it often goes downhill I think. If I refuse to answer, that seems both rude, one sided or unfair.

@Earthwrap I guess im still an idealist? being different is what makes the world interesting. Being different is what helps us create improvements. I’m totally okay seeing things differently than other and visa versa. It’s no different than the fact that both the sun and moon are different and yet they are both beneficial. Why obliterate either one completely? (As long as I’m not being stabbed in the heart literally.) But I realize that for some people being different is equivalent to being an enemy? I’m different from my parents. Yet I love them and they love me. I’m nothing like my sister or my brother, but I am theirs. And they are mine.

@Mindful "As long as I’m not being stabbed in the heart literally." Some people have a much lower threshold for that and can see threats that are indirect and more chronic. So while not as imminent as a knife to your chest, there are situations where long term indirect consequences will significantly impact healthspan.
It depends a lot on a person's past experience that gives them their level of tolerance for differences be it delusional or based on reality.
