I'm getting a little tired of this Covid sit...

I am so mad right now I could scream. I was planning on flying out to visit my GF tomorrow and staying through New Years. It's our one year anniversary.

But new covid restrictions combined with Navy policies means I can't go. The trip is off.

So everyone: I don't care where you are or who you are:
- Wear your friggin' masks!
- Wash your hands!
- Keep your social distance!
- Stay home unless you absolutely have to go out.

We need to shut this thing down. 🙄

@KrackerBash i'm sorry but this is totally incoherent.

i don't have to assume a machete. i can witness it.

i don't have to assume anything about the person not wearing a mask. i can witness the absence of the mask.

and, just as the machete person would be warned to put it down before the decision to shoot, the person without a mask would be challenged. but, in either case, failure to comply could be met with lethal force.

i think this is SOP for most law enforcement agencies in USA, UK, EU.

Soviet bloc? for God's sake, the Soviet union was dissolved in 1991! and russia has proved to be crap at dealing with the virus, despite their propaganda machine. so i don't know what sort of spy book fantasy you are off on there.

total unity of compliance? what? isn't that just how the law works? or do you think it is some pick and mix menu, where you get to choose the laws you obey?

individual v community? please explain the difference. communities are made up of individuals. individuals form communities, for greater communal strength, economic, security, etc.

protect the community, protect the individual.

protect the individual, protect the community.

what is your alternative?

**sorry this has detached from your original comment. don't know why.
