@Barefooter25 No!!!!! It's time that people follow some basic rules so we can shut down the virus!

You quote the survival rate like you are so willing to write-off five percent of the population! Who should die next? Your parents? My grandmother?

Wear a mask.
Wash your hands.
Social distance.

It's not that fucking difficult!

Do this long enough to smother the spread of the virus and soon enough we'll be vaccinated and[b] then [/b] we can go back to normal!

@sarabee1995 I was quoting figures I heard on the news. I didn't make up those numbers out of thin air. Maybe herd immunity is the answer. We've been following the basic rules for nearly a year and the numbers haven't gone down.

@Barefooter25 I never said you made up the numbers. I agree with them ... One out of every twenty people who get this thing [b][u]DIE[/u][/b] (95% survival rate).

We have not been following the basic rules for a year. Not even close. People all over the place consider themselves to be exceptions. Christmas parties, Thanksgiving dinners, summer barbeques, trips to the Caribbean, and on and on and on.

1) wear masks
2) wash hands
3) stay home

If everyone did this as much as possible, the virus spread would be shut down.

And now we have a vaccine around the corner! Let's do this right!

@sarabee1995 I would like to offer up a different take on the social distance/quarantine and the way governments and societies are supporting and enforcing. I will do so without comment, beyond saying this is in my country, where Covid is being taken as a risk to all above the inconvenience of having your "freedoms" inconvenienced.

@sarabee1995 I absolutely agree. The local mantra of leadership is. "We're all in this together" and those who defy the rules to risk others are getting no community support at all. A recent Beach Christmas party has been attributed to overseas backpacker tourists, who now face Visa cancellation and deportation if facial recognition can identify them as a danger to the public health..😷

What community support would you have them get? (Other than three meals a day and a cot in a concrete box?)

@KiwiBird Don't your inmates get three meals? I call that community support. 😐

@sarabee1995 The inmates PAY their own bill to be in quarantine. And thats all set before they arrive. One woman who compained her room waqs too "dusty" and walked out will now spend New Year in an islation cell in jail and faces up to a year for vioating the rules. "Karens" Beware..😷
