ABC News just aired a clip of Elizabeth Warren announcing her candidacy for president. She said, "We need to take power in Washington away from the wealthy and well-connected."

A quick Google query yielded this: [quote]According to public financial disclosure forms filed with federal election officials in February 2019, Warren and her husband have a combined net worth between $4 million and $11 million, and her Cambridge home is assessed at $1.9 million.

Dunno about you, but I consider that wealthy.

People sitting right behind her were getting up and leaving during the middle of her speech. And these are her "supporters." Hilarious.

@MasterLee That's right up there with the "Run Hillary! Run!" bumper stickers. Dems were putting them on their rear bumpers, Repubs on their front bumpers.

She's certainly wealthy, but she's not in the power elite. She's talking about the Koch brothers, and Bezos and others who actually dictate what the US government does.

That doesn't make her a good candidate though.

As far as I can tell, the ONLY good things she's ever done was consumer protection. She rocked it.

But, she's been benignly ineffective as an angry Democrat Senator. Why would anyone deem her qualified to be President? Many of her own supporters have asked her not to run.
