I Am An Early Riser

You know those big green and white signs on motorways? Well I was running towards one when the words on it began shimmering as though fog was over it, or looking through steam, only there was no fog or steam. Then it cleared up. Just after that, I crossed through a football field. Almost in the middle a small stick hit me on the back of my right shoulder. I was in the middle and nobody else was there. and I don't think a bird dropped it because I looked all about and couldn't see a bird. So I think it was a ghost. The stick was only little and couldn't possibly have hurt me.

Well something actually happened and I can't explain why or how, so I called it a ghost. :) I don't think it meant to hurt me (and it didn't) maybe it was just being playful or trying to get my attention, (which it did).

A minimum of 5km which is about 3.3 miles. sometime 10km and 15 on weekends. 5km takes about 30 minutes because of traffic and crossings etc.

It's coming into winter here, so it's already dark at 5am and still when I get home. Good advise but I haven't had any problems yet, except for one time when I was 14, but that worked out well. I have a couple of routes, mainly so it doesn't get boring, and some are harder than others so I'm not going the same way every day.

Well besides that and the guy that tried to touch me, everything has been okay. I can be a bit of a firestorm when I get mad, haha.

I sometimes go bush on tracks, but I'm mostly a street runner on footpaths. Early morning while the air is freshest and there's not so much traffic.

That is good. Just don't go early that it's still really dark out side. Some one might try to grap you. Take a whistle or some mace. Do you try to mix it up. Because some times footpaths get old.

Maybe it was something else. Never know what people are testing. Was it early enough to see thing or was it still dark

Sounds like a good morning run. Do you do i along a beach,though some parks,or in the woods.

Your welcome. Their is a lot of strange things out their. And when towns are old or new. They do have things around. That go bump in the night.

@jenna. Or maybe that ghost didn't like you in their area. And wanted you to leave. Or it could be as you said. Maybe it was playful or wanted to get your attention

I've never seen any bums here in the suburbs. I think it's pretty safe. There was only ever that one guy, who I sorted out, and (I don't know if I should say or not) You might think I'm silly, but I think I met a ghost once too. <--- That's true, I'm not being silly...

Just wait they will show up some day. Their are strange things out their girl. I work most nights. and do see some creepy stuff.

I think he is in jail now, so I'm not worried.

Good point. That is good you change of your roots. So you don't get a pattern. I like to run when i get off of work near the beach. Try not to step on the sleeping bums.

I mostly run with my dog.

His name is Onyx. He's a black Labrador and he loves to run as much as I do :)

He stopped me to ask for directions, then put his hand on my chest. Lol I was 14 and didn't even have boobs yet! Anyway, I kicked him in his balls and ran away. Dad called the police and he was caught 2 weeks later trying the same thing. Serves him right.

That pervo. He should be in jail for that. Putting his ands on you. If a guy did that too you now. You would have kicked his A** . That is good you reported . But some times it's better when you have a running partner
