I Got The Cane At School

Well, actually I didn't, but I thought I was going to. I was 10 or 11 and I was caught out of bounds during the lunch break. The mistress who caught me sent me to stand outside the head's study. I thought she was going to ask the headmistress to cane me, but in fact I just got a detention. Maybe it would have been better if I had been caned ...

@ArishMell Well, it MIGHT have been better. I have a feeling that it might have been good for me, at some stage in my school career, to experience the cane, but it's the sort of thing you can't prove - equally it might have scarred me for life.

As I say below, I think the most appropriate punishment would have been the slipper. But at my school, except in PE lessons, cp meant the cane or nothing.

I don't think having the cane once would have scarred you for life, if it was justified and fair by the standards of the time, unless you'd let it do so.

Gratuitous beatings others describe are a different matter, and veer from maintaining discipline (not [i]being[/i] "discipline") to cruelty.

As you say though, you can't prove it at all; and certainly not by drawing on others' experiences. I avoided it, never wanted it, don't regret not "sampling" it and am pleased it has been abolished - but still have a fascination for CP that arose first in boyhood, and am still attracted to its adult, erotic or therapeutic use!

Not sure if I want to sample the cane now, but I am drawn to the school-style slipper I managed also to avoid.
