I Got The Cane At School

I only got the cane once at school although I did get the slipper a few times.

The one time I got it was the day after my 17th birthday. Me and two friends were caught in the pub drinking Babychams! We were taken to the headmistress and the two others got 6 strokes each but I got 8 as I was a prefect. I also got two detentions and lost my prefect status for the rest of the term.

The cane really hurt and I was in floods of tears and couldn't sit down properly that afternoon. At home my mum could tell that something had happened and she had little sympathy for me and said that I had deserved it.

I was caned once in the 6th form - and it was my only 6 strokes. I felt somewhat embarrassed at being caned at that age (nearly 18) for doing a stupid thing - word of my caning soon circulated around the school - and I was also the first girl to be caned over trousers!

@Rebecca54 I was caned over just knickers. We did have the rule that senior girls could wear trousers but we were all in skirts that day.

@Helen3652 We nearly always had to lift our skirts to be caned or slippered but in 6th form we were allowed to wear trousers. I was caned and slippered at school both on my knickers and through trousers. In my experience there was no significant difference, it stung just as much however I got it.

Your mother didn't have one of those rules: punished at school meant punishment at home, Helen?

@ArtieKat Well, that was the only time when she found out that I had been punished at school. I never told her when I got the slipper.

I think she thought I had been punished enough at school that time and I hadn't been spanked by her at home since I was 13.
