I Want to De-clutter My Life

I'm trying to come to terms with 20 years of obsessive book-buying (amongst other things but it's mainly books).

@fun4us2b I really wanted to like Kindle but I don't. I like paper. Of course I have kindle books too but I never read them! I also kind of resent the feeling that I'm bring overcharged when the printed book feels like you get so much more. If I could change my mind on this, I'd probably have a tidy house! 😂

@Persephone My thing is I commute - so if I want to read a big hardcover, I don't have to carry it...and I've even taken to reading on my smartphone, which is terrific - and I have noticed over time, I've given away many books (but kept ones I really liked), and now I have more shelf space for other junk!

Maybe when I've decluttered enough to get my head together I will be able to change my thinking.
I actually miss commuting, fantastic reading time.

@Persephone I donated what I would never read again to book drives - and yes, it's a great time to read...

I'm going through a bit if a big change of life experience right now so I may do that at some point. A lot of my books don't sit well with my current thinking but it's a bit of a wrench to say goodbye.
