As minuets a-dance on strings.
Pulled by factions afar in space.

Around the round they dance in twain.
Knowing soon the pain they will fain.

Afar on high a string will snap.
Collapse the tethers, collapsed together as little feathers.

And yet our gazes continue on,
unbroken and searching;
wishing for the next chance to prove our devotion
and our purity, though no one takes heed.
The need is too great,
and we are awash in our necessity.
