I Want You To Write A Poem Off-the-cuff Right Here Right Now

Empty bliss, a thing you missed
Fingers stretched, at their tips
Floating away, out of reach
Not worth the effort, not worth the feat
A thing you lost, you never had
A thing you loved, a thing so sad
Something to admire, something to behold
Crumbling at your touch I bend and fold
In your hands I rest and sleep, a place for comfort, a place for me...

Emptiness within the soul, distractions which keep me from becoming whole,

My mind being flooded with constant stress, how I yearn to be blessed,

Floating away amongst the vast ocean sea, something to help me break free.

Not worth the time to make the perfect rhyme,

Love from my past never did quite last,

Sadness engulfs the tumultuous waves, it makes me a slave,

Nothing left to admire or behold, just a life with incomplete goals,

My only comfort comes from sleep and dreams, for life and living is never as good as it seems….
