I Can't Stand Spoilt Kids

Maybe this group has an excessively negative name but on the 6th of January Italian children all get presents, exactly like Christmas, for the night of the Befana ( night of the witch ) which coincides with the epifany. So they get presents twice.
The witch, like father christmas, brings presents home whilst children sleep.

Here is a link to a new Italian film that came out now on the holiday season. It's quite a funny film.

According to our Spanish tradition, it is the Three Wise Men who bring gifts to children, also on 6th January. Like anyone else, we have imported many American traditions, and nowadays kids get presents on both 6th January and 25th December.

@SW-User It was the opposite for me, never got presents on the 25th, but on 6th January, not much time left to play with them until school started again.

@SW-User I am sure realising our parents had to work hard to buy us presents helped.
