I Like Helping Others
like today for instance I was out riding my bike and came across a bike that was
down I ask the lady if she was okay she was but I notice the chain didn't look right
as if it was on one of the sprockets but was not sure if it was front or rear.
On closer inspection it was off the one front sprocket but it was not easy to access to
place on cause it was had a chain guard. It was also a heavy electric assist bike so
others were helping holding it up. At first I got the chain from one side of the sprocket
to the other side so I thought this just ain't working out. But I was also not ready
to quit. I started to help this lady and was I was determined to stick with it till the job was done. Think I had the wrong idea though trying to get the chain on the whole
sprocket like when it comes off on my own bike but unlike my bike this one had a chain
guard making that all but in possible so one of the 2 other helpers who holding up
this heavy bike suggested just butting the chain on a few teeth and moving the peddles
I just wanted to say don't move them too soon or the teeth might eat my fingers.
I didn't think it (the chain) was on enough teeth but agreed to try moving the peddles
and got my fingers out of the way and valah the chain was on front sprocket and the
lady and myself and other helpers where all on our ways!
