I Like Helping Others

So today shortly after 1:00 I could not resist taking an opportunity to help
a stranger whom I never met before who seemed down on his luck. You see I went
to a Tim Horton's Restaurant to get myself something to eat.
There was a guy, perhaps homeless not sure, sitting outside with the restaurant
with a sign and what appeared to be his few belongings. I asked him if I could buy
him a sandwich and coffee or something like that. He was coffeed out for the day
but indicated he would appreciate a sandwich and I ask him if he would like a juice
like orange or apple juice. And as I was about to enter a 2nd stranger asked if I would buy him a coffee and bagel with cream cheese. I knew there was more than
ample funds on debit card to help them both and myself. Not that I can afford to
help strangers like this every day but people have helped me when I been in rough shape before so maybe it was time to pay it forward, maybe it was Christian love
for strangers or maybe just some weird desire I occasionally have to be generous.
Anyways I went in and ordered 2 orange juices, two chicken salad sandwiches, a bagel
with cream cheese and a medium coffee according to how this second stranger
(3 cream and 3 sugars) kind of make one wanna say " whow why don't you have some
coffee with your sugar" so today I had pleasure of feeding not one but 2 strangers
I never seen before. And I must thank the good Lord for providing me with the
means to afford that and the heart to do that!
so last night after I got off the first of 2 buses I took home from volunteering for the poppy fund I saw a homeless girls sitting outside a McDs and asked if I could buy her a coffee or something she asked for hot chocolate and so I went in and bought her a hot chocolate; within a minute and a block away I saw a man sleeping on the sidewalk in a sleeping bag well more like laying there for the night I imagine it is hard to sleep on cement outdoors during a cold Canadian night. I ask if I could buy him a coffee or something he said yes please. Asked what he takes in it ( I usually drink my coffee black) he said 3 and 3 so I kid with him and asked if that meant 3 cream and 3 shots of rum? I could have also asked him if he would like some coffee with his sugar but I just went into the Mac's Store and bought a medium coffee with some cream in it and 3 packs of sugar with a stir stick. would have liked to continue but I of course can not afford to buy a hot drink for every street person I run into.

Thats awsome that was a very kind, genourous and selfless act,and a good way to as you said pay it forward creating good mojo/karma it makes you feel good knowing that you helped someone out even if its something small like a piece of food and a drink but to someone in that situation that's huge so good for you.
