I Have Dermatillomania

I've decided to share my first post in this group. I used Experience Project many years ago. I think it was about 8 or 9 years ago. I decided to check it out recently, but it's gone. I read about Similar Worlds, so I decided to check it out.

Anyhow, dermatillomania is something I've been dealing with for a long time. My earliest memory of it is from seventh grade. I don't really know when it started, though. I'm not even sure how or why it started. I haven't met many people with this condition, but I rarely meet new people as it is. I'd like to, though.

Oh, I'm sorry. That is something psychological. It's an urge that you cannot control. How about comsciously figthing it so you don't get caught in the cycle. How about oral meds, have you tried?

That was 8 yrs ago. There are newer better meds now. Give it another try.

I honestly am so happy someone else wrote a story here. Not that I am happy anyone else has this, but it's nice to read someone else's story. When I was on EP (only 2 years ago) people usually wrote a story once a month or so, but not here. ☹
