My introduction to Shel was through the recording of his song “The Unicorn” by the Irish Rovers. Later came the monster hit by Johnny Cash “A Boy Named Sue”. My full exposure into the mind of Shel came with his album “Freaking At The Freaker’s Ball”.
Then came his books.
What a delightfully twisted mind he had.

@seeandhear I grew up reading his children’s poetry collections and delighted in sharing them with my own kids. Only in recent years did I discover his more adult fare. I was delighted all over again.
