Because if I give you a dollar you'll never learn to be responsible and stand on your own two feet, you'll just become used to never doing anything for yourself, soon be out living on the streets, turning tricks for a dollar and some drugs, until we find you collapsed and broken in the rain-soaked cardboard refrigerator box you've been living in. THAT'S why I won't give you a dollar, I won't be responsible for your sad end!
