You could always try to find more friends? That loneliness that you feel is your brain's way of telling you that's what you need. The brain is pretty bad at communicating, though, so it does tend to kick your ass rather than direct you.
Have you tried going out and meeting more people? What about that friend you have left? Does he know anyone so you could all hang out together, do some shared hobby, and maybe make some new friends?
