I Was Followed By A Stranger

It's awful feeling to walk on the lonely streets in the late evening when going back from work. Every single week something happens. First a guy was in front of my door when I was going out from work for half an hour starring at me. Now, every sunday some guy is walking behind me and dissapear in the same place every time. If I stop he stops, if I walk he walks.

Once I walked behind a woman and she started to walk faster and I started to walk faster and then she started running and I did the same , she started screaming and I started screaming too ,,, wow I was afraid that night too ))

I would look into getting some mace or pepper spray, and have someone walk with you, if you can.

@minarth008 I'm seriously thinking of pepper spray

This happens every Sunday? I would somehow arrange for a ride home from work and not walk it anymore.

It's just 300 meters but it's creepy

@Lsabomb Ah, yes, I guess not that far, but a lot can happen in 300 meters, at least get some mace and walk with it in hand, but even better to have someone walk with you. If it continues I would also visit the police to see if they can come by, but most likely that would be a waste of time.

Have you reported anything to the police?
Also consider taking up self defence classes.
Lsabomb · 26-30, F
@tallpowerhouseblonde no because they would say it's coincidence
tallpowerhouseblonde · 31-35, F
@Lsabomb Police are very supportive and it's far too much of a coincidence. You could be direct, walk up the guy and ask him why he is following you and to stop.Take a picture of him with your cell phone.

Have you tried walking at a different time, maybe a half hour earlier or later?
Lsabomb · 26-30, F
@silentwriter180 I can't, we close every day at same time

Hmmm, the only other thing I can think about is have a male friend come walk with you, even if he has to walk back to pick up his car, and/or walk a different route, such as go around the block. Are you in a well populated neighborhood and do you know your neighbors? One thing you can do is plan with one of your neighbors to stop by their house on the way home, then watch and see just if this guy remains to watch you leave and walk home, or if he leaves. I'll let you know if I think of anything else. You can always carry a baseball bat with you. lol

That is unnerving I bet
