I Want to Know What Is the Worst Movie

Two suggestions:

An Unmarried Woman starring Jill Clayburgh

The Turning Point starring Shirley MacClaine and Anne Bancroft

They were both examples of some kind of politically correct unreality (and I am rather liberal politically!). Both movies depicted characters and situations far removed from what most of us call life while masquerading as hard hitting revealing drama about post modern women.

The Clayburgh movie was too pat for me, full of cliches. Also she was too gorgeous to be believable in that role. Women like that can get anyone they want. But some films don't seem to understand anything about real life.

@Platoscave The director saw things from the point of view of a Hollywood alpha male. Interestingly, a few years later, a TV movie was made with the exact same story line, but this one was very realistic. I wish I could remember the name of that TV movie.

@greenmountaingal I will research that point and get back to you.

@greenmountaingal The real movie is no one knows what they are doing when they marry and when things settle down they end up realizing that marriage is about anything but love. They pay heartily for this knowledge, too many drown doing it.

@Platoscave Thanks! I appreciate that. I would love to see it again, and to recommend it on here. Just need the name of the made for TV movie.
