I Want to Know What Is the Worst Movie

Two suggestions:

An Unmarried Woman starring Jill Clayburgh

The Turning Point starring Shirley MacClaine and Anne Bancroft

They were both examples of some kind of politically correct unreality (and I am rather liberal politically!). Both movies depicted characters and situations far removed from what most of us call life while masquerading as hard hitting revealing drama about post modern women.

Love Story...E.T.

@SaxonAZ Love Story , book or movie, is one of the absolute worst. It's films like this that mess up the impressionable minds of teen girls.

@greenmountaingal Had to watch it for class. Awful!

@SaxonAZ I just gotta ask--what kind of class would show a movie with the mentality of early middle school?
SaxonAZ · 51-55, M
@greenmountaingal I was in high school mid to late 80's California. I forget which class it was for specifically.

@greenmountaingal We also watched Same time, Next Year and Starting Over.

@SaxonAZ Same Time Next Year seems inappropriate for high school to me ( a long term extramarital affair...?!). Don't remember Starting Over. As for showing Love Story to teens....You could complain to the school board about it but it would probably turn out that being on the school board means "never having to say you're sorry."

@greenmountaingal Exactly. Anything to watch was better than whatever the plan to teach was.

@SaxonAZ "Same Time Next Year" is a lovely film. Highly recommended. Cameo flick but really nice....

@Platoscave It wasn't bad.
