I Loved Him And Let Him Go

I once loved someone who never loved me and never saw me as more than a friend so that's what I was. I helped him in any way I could and made sure he was always happy. It made me feel better to have him smile than for the both of us to be miserable. To see him with someone who valued him and whom he could love was so great so I let him go and let him have someone who could take care of him and who he could take care of as well... they were meant to be just as I was meant to love him and help him find the person he loved... he's happy and therefore I am content
