I Got The Cane Or Slipper In The Sixth Form

We had a bit of snow here last night. One of the slipperings I got in 6th form was for throwing snowballs. Despite an announcement in assembly that throwing snowballs was strictly banned, four first year boys were having a bit of a snowball fight. One of the snowballs narrowly missed me so I grabbed some snow and threw one back at them - just as a teacher appeared. The five of us were marched off to a classroom for 6 each with the slipper.

Thee joys of an English education - and the certainty of being caught just when you never expected to be. I hope your bottoms hadn't been chilled too much in the cold outside. The slipper on a cold bum was murder. I was once similarly caught in a small group where one idiot had thrown a firework just as the deputy Principal walked around the corner. We were collectively guilty in those days, and we each got six with the cane.

@april50 My bottom hadn't been chilled too much but the slipper still stung like Hell. My friends and I used to make fireworks. That got us caned a few times.

@april50 Must have been awful to be caned for something you didn’t do. Did you and the others take it out on the real culprit afterwards?

@MartinII "collective punishments" were not all that uncommon, and you certainly never dobbed in classmate. In this particulate case, I was dissembling a bit. We did have some firework plans. So even though one of us had a premature rush of blood, our common purpose was nefarious!
