I Got The Cane Or Slipper In The Sixth Form

When I was in 6th form we were still liable to get the slipper or cane, just like in earlier years. We did have a choice though, the slipper or lines/detention and the cane or suspension. I think almost all of us took the sore bottom option every time, I know I always did.

@suzie1960: At the time I found it odd that the cane (which I regarded as a rare and terrible thing) was less serious than suspension. But I see the logic now.
