I Got The Cane Or Slipper In The Sixth Form

When I was in 6th form we were still liable to get the slipper or cane, just like in earlier years. We did have a choice though, the slipper or lines/detention and the cane or suspension. I think almost all of us took the sore bottom option every time, I know I always did.

I presume you're not in the UK. The "slipper" was usually a plimsoll and was a common form of impromptu CP in English schools. We only had a choice in 6th form, when we were voluntary students, not in previous years when our attendence was compulsory.
