I Got The Cane Or Slipper In The Sixth Form

When I was in 6th form we were still liable to get the slipper or cane, just like in earlier years. We did have a choice though, the slipper or lines/detention and the cane or suspension. I think almost all of us took the sore bottom option every time, I know I always did.

You had a choice? That must have been nice. I have never heard of a slipper being used at school.

We had a choice in 6th form too, in fact some teachers gave us a choice in earlier years.

Once, in upper 6th, when we'd have been about 17 or 18, we were all making a lot of noise and being silly waiting for the teacher. When she arrived, she gave us a choice of 100 (?) lines or six of the slipper. All of us, boys and girls, opted for the slipper.
