I Got The Cane Or Slipper In The Sixth Form

My class got the slipper within a few days of starting sixth form. There was only about 12 of us and we were all making quite a bit of noise waiting for the teacher. We were so rowdy we didn't really notice him arrive. He got our attention by slamming a slipper down on his desk.

Next, we were told to line up at the front then, one by one, bend over for 6 whacks of the slipper. Another girl and I were wearing skirts so we had to lift them to be whacked across our knickers.

@Lynda70 Very unfair on the girls, should have been trousers down for boys as well.

@Sharon If you had of thought of it would you have argued? I certainly never argued when due for the slipper or cane.

@SW-User I don't know. Some of the teachers could be quite reasonable so I might have mentioned it to one of them.

My wife and some of her school friends can beat that. They got the cane in the first week of 6th form after they were seen smoking on their way to school. They knew it was against the rules but thought that, as 6th formers, they could get away with it.

@NortiusMaximus I got the cane for that in upper 6th. I was 17 so I could legally buy cigarettes. That didn't make any difference, I still got six of the best that lunchtime.

@Sharon As said previously age does not matter when you are at school.

@SW-User True. Even though I could legally buy cigarettes, I was still considered a (naughty) schoolgirl at school. Less than a year later, I was 18 and could legally buy alcohol. I still got the cane for going to the pub at lunchtime though.

That's similar to what happened to my 6th form class but we didn't get it quite so soon after starting sixth form. I think it was a few months before anyone in my 6th form classes got the slipper.

I got the slipper from gym teacher in sixth form. She was dead strict

@jennypenny I got it off the gym mistress in 6th form too. A fondness for slippering students seems to be a trait common to PE teachers.

Other teachers were much more easy going in 6th form but there were still limits. Exceeding those limits often resulted in a dose of the slipper or, in serious cases, the cane.
