I used to for a few years ending in 2002. The nights nearly killed me as I couldn't sleep in the daytime. We rotated, mornings, afternoons, nights...weekly rotation too so the body clock was all over the place.

@HerKing And did you go from nights to afternoons or nights to days?
HerKing · 61-69, M
@HelterSkelter1 Mornings, nights, afternoons...and if you did afternoons, you did saturday morning too. So the weekend was shorter then, but longer after nights that finished friday morning. I hated it.

@HerKing Schedulers never have to work those hours. It is ridiculous. Our Circadian rhythms require at least 6 weeks to adjust to changes in shifts. And some people just naturally prefer one shift to others!

@PoetryNEmotion Until the entire shop floor worked triple shifts we had only one guy and his assistant that worked four/five nights a week...everyone else did the other two shifts in the week. He loved nights, I could never understand how.

@HerKing I have met just a handful of people in my career in healthcare who love working nights.
