Bri-Nylon, too. That was THE material in the 1960s, as I recall; used for shirts and trousers too.
CheesePickle: I wondered about this ad's location, as the spellings are English English, the temperatures are sub-tropical and the prices in dollars - but it says "Australian Post" in very tiny letters at the foot of the page.
Pity the chap in the foreground eclipses much of the young lady in the picture, but she has a nicely trim figure, and the men all look healthily normal, not "beefcake" or "Studs Gazette" types.
I wonder if a swim-wear maker would use the word "Minimate" for bikinis, these days?

1969 is the date at the bottom of the page, but I have not seen it before. Speedos are still the coolest gear.

I saw that also but that isn't the speedo style I remember from then. Maybe my memory is getting bad as time goes by. I don't know when the speedo brand came out, I do remember reading the first ones were made in Australia.
