I'm Not Married

I have nothing against it. My oldest friend got married. we used to hang out a lot and after he got married. Whenever I ask if he want to hang out, he always makes an excuse that his wife having her hair done, or having a Bbq out in the patio with friends. Is this normal behavior or is his wife controlling the social life between them? I would speak to him but I don't want to come between him and his wife. Should I burn the bridge with him?
