I Went On a Date

At 42 I took my cousin's son 18, like a nephew to me, on the very first date of his life. He was the epitome of courtesy and good manners, and I enjoyed myself so much! He made me feel so special. We've been on four dates over three years, and I sometimes wonder if he wasn't my "nephew", where it would have led.

You are a GREAT Aunt..
I hope that you are able to open up the conversation to include his sexual thoughts.
You KNOW that he has raging hormones and has sex on his mind all the time.
It could open up into a lovely relationship, if you both are comfortable going there..
I'll have my fingers crossed for both of you...

@polyandrym66: Yes, I do know he has raging hormones. He is closer to me than to his own mother, and we have talked about the sexual side of a relationship, though not on our dates. But "going there", as you put it, is quite out of the question; we are family. I grew up playing with his father in a joint family.

@Blithespirit: Maybe he and his Dad have discussed you and your past. Have you thought of that? I am surprised to hear from you that you are placing a personal boundary on a possible affair with him. But it is your call (and his).. And others (including me) have to respect your wishes.
I was just speaking from my own personal past experiences that turned out to be positive..
