I Hate Feeling Unappreciated

I went to my best friends babyshower and I got a really nice and thoughtful gift. My friends baby already had a ton of clothes so I got her some really nice soaps, lotions and baby wipes bottle cleaners and things of that nature. Because From going to baby shower I know most people gift cute clothes. Since I already knew she had a billion clothes she probably didnt want more. I also got her a baby room thermometer that that is also a nightlight that changes colors to tell you if the room is too hot or cold. When she took that out everyone in the whole entire room was like..... what is that..... there was no "Oh thats nice." Or "Oh how thoughtful." I kept on saying its a room thermometer but no one was listing to me. They just kept saying ohhh its a....... gro.... egg?..... which is the brand of it. While when everyone else got their presents looked at no matter what it was even just regular baby wipes everyone was like "OHHHHHHHH HOW CUTEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!" I mean they could have just faked it for me like they did for everyone... Or they could have just read the box.... instead of being like omg what is that....

Well, the problem with today's society is, people don't know how to react and how to respond. Ones who are a bit sensitive, they get hurt because of it. I have given up on the most. Nothing will change especially when most are like that. I just socialize selectively, to get less annoyed.

Well done for thinking of something practical. With all the gushing around babies, it's good someone was considering the bigger picture.

They sound like a bunch of young snobs...don't worry they'll get their rude awakening
