Harrogate and its tea rooms have been on my bucket list for a long time now. Ever since it was featured on Jeremy Clarkson's Top Gear. As he and Richard Hammond slowly rolled past quaint village shops, debating where best James May could find gingham tea towels or a cozy.

To this Yankee from across the pond, it looked like paradise.
