Do you keep the spoon out of your cup when you're drinking tea?

It’s considered good etiquette, and there’s no reason to keep it in really

I always put the spoon to the side when I'm done using it; otherwise it just kinda gets in the way and whacks me in the face when I tilt the cup too far back.

When I order tea I specify "no spoon" because I don't want their dirty spoon in my delicious unmolested tea.
