Do you like Eggnog?

@Sourdad It could be whatever they need to use as a preservative. Say what they will about those things being tasteless, they must interact with the natural ingredients somehow, so maybe they change the natural flavour.

@Serenitree I'm sure they do. Pasteurization probably changes the flavour as well.

@iamnikki Not at all. It tastes like cream, spices, and sweetness. Egg is what gives it texture rather than flavour. Sort of like how you make pudding with eggs but pudding doens't taste eggy.

@iamnikki No. you can't taste the eggs at all, unless you really really hate eggs, maybe. There are things I really hate, and people say you can't taste it in a recipe, because it is overwhelmed by all the rest of the ingredients, but, one taste, and I'm gagging.

Even if I don't know that ingredient is there, I know once I taste it. I can be lied to, but my taste buds can't be fooled. . I would ask you, do you eat cakes? Regular cakes. Not cakes altered to eliminate the need for eggs. If the answer is yes, then you might just like eggnog. If you don't like cakes made with egg, because you can taste the egg, you won't like eggnog
