To the people that know about food

Since I’m getting inconsistent answers on google.

If I have a chunk of salmon that was fresh, and it was in my fridge for a few days but I don’t feel like eating it yet. Can I just freeze it? How long will it last?

I bought it when I was high and it looked really good at the time but now it’s not appetizing at the moment.

Yes, you can re-freeze meat. The caveat is that freezing wouldn't kill the bacteria that already grew on it (just stop the multiplying), so that when you thaw it again, the bacteria start multiplying again. Also, the quality will be off a little since it wouldn't be as fresh.

I'd give it a maximum of 5 days refrigerated from when it was purchased. Freezing it doesn't give it an additional amount of time because of bacterial growth, so if you froze it in the middle of those 5 days, you have the remaining balance after you thaw it

Fresh fish is only edible for two days. On the third day you can still eat it but you have to soak it in a bowl of water heavily laced with lemon juice to kill the odor. As long as the fish was not previously frozen, you can freeze it up to the third day after purchase. Frozen fish stays good in the freezer for two months, then expires. You could also poach it. (slow cook it in a pan with water and a lot of lemon juice0. Once it is cooked, it will stay good in the fridge another 2 days.
