Animal Farm·Down and Out in Paris and London by George Orwell

Both books were brilliant.
Animal Farm became the perennial metaphor for a society dominated by a tyrant; reflecting the dictators of both modern and ancient times.
Down and Out in Paris and London described the marginal life of a creative in two of the world's most sophisticated cities. Although a unique portrait of the times, the lifestyle is not much different today for many young students, artists and writers.
It is the gift of a great writer to show truths of human nature and society through fiction.
